Who

Having been a Drama practitioner for 15 years and worked in many areas of SEND in both primary and secondary education, I have a particular specialism in working with learners with Autism. I have run Drama based projects for the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Mousetrap Foundation, ATG, Z-Arts, North West Drama, The Lowry and numerous schools across the country.

What makes me special is that I have also been working as an actor since graduating from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 1998. I was lucky enough to work at the Royal Shakespeare Company where my love of Shakespeare was born. A unique part of JEDAA is that as an accomplished improviser, I am able to play characters and take on the role of the storyteller very effectively to unlock and fuel the imaginations of the learners taking part in the session…. the results can be outstanding.

“We have a lot of tutors coming here from all over and I can honestly say this is some of the best work I have ever seen. To build that type of relationship with the learners is really something, I have real respect for that”
